Alina Haines-Delmont – Reader/Associate Professor Mental Health & Coercion, Department of Nursing, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. Her passion and goal go hand in hand in relation to understanding and reducing coercion and long-term institutionalisation for people with mental health, learning disabilities or autism, and in the long-term, addressing social injustice and promoting human rights. To support this, she is using complex evaluations, co-design methodologies and action research, as well as involving self-advocates, people with lived experience, carers and communities, practitioners and policy makers to co-produce research outcomes. Alina’s key role on the board is linked to EViPRG’s external visibility, including co-editing of the website and managing the social media profile on Linkedin.
